Udo Kierspe, known professionally as Udo Kier, is a German actor. Born on October 14, 1944, in Cologne, Kier has appeared in over 220 films in leading and supporting roles across Europe and the Americas. He has collaborated with renowned filmmakers such as Lars von Trier, Gus Van Sant, Werner Herzog, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, and Dario Argento. Kier's career started with the lead role in the film Road to St. Tropez in 1966. He gained recognition for his performance in Andy Warhol's Frankenstein (1973) and went on to star in various art-house, person TV appearances, and person movies. Kier is also known for his work as an altar boy and cantor in his youth and his move to London at the age of 18 to learn English.
