He gained recognition for his television roles, including Jeff Cargill on The Glades, Josh on the web series Blue, and Joshua Matthews on Girl Meets World. Shelton also starred in the 2010 film Lifted, where he played the lead role of Henry Matthews and wrote and sang the song 'I Miss You' for the movie.
