Urs Rechn

Urs Rechn is a German actor born on January 18, 1978, in Halle an der Saale, Germany. He is best known for his role in the 2015 Cannes Grand Prix-winning Holocaust drama, Son of Saul. Rechn comes from a family of artists, with his father being a renowned painter and graphic artist. He attended the Special Grammar School for Music in Halle, where he excelled in various musical instruments and singing. After the Berlin Wall fell, his family relocated to Cottbus, where Rechn attended the Heinrich Heine Academic High School for Music and Fine Arts. Despite not having formal training in acting, he pursued a successful career in the field.
