Vanessa Lee Chester is an American actress known for her roles in A Little Princess (1995), Harriet the Spy (1996), and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997). She was born on July 2, 1984, in Brooklyn, New York City, to Guyanese parents who immigrated to the United States. Growing up in Los Angeles, she began her acting career by appearing in commercials. Chester made her film debut in CB4 (1993) and gained recognition for her role in A Little Princess (1995). She later appeared in Harriet the Spy (1996) and had a breakthrough role as Kelly in Steven Spielberg's The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997).
