Verona Verbakel

Verona Verbakel is a Belgian actress born on September 15, 1992 in Gent. She has been working with theater company Ontroerend Goed since 2009, appearing in productions such as Once and for all we're gonna tell you who we are so shut up and listen and Teenage Riot. Her performance in Sirens, a feminist performance by the same theater company, earned her The Stage Award for acting excellence for Best Ensemble at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2014. Verona Verbakel graduated Magna cum laude from the Royal Conservatory Antwerp in 2014, studying Drama Acting under the guidance of Ivo van Hove from ITA. She has also performed in solo shows such as The Audition and worked with renowned directors like Romeo Castellucci.
