Veronica Hamel Biography
Veronica Hamel (born November 20, 1943) is an American actress and model. She is best known for her role as attorney Joyce Davenport in the TV police drama Hill Street Blues, for which she received five Emmy Award nominations. Hamel started her career as a fashion model after being discovered by Eileen Ford. She made her film debut in 1971's Klute and went on to appear in disaster films such as Beyond the Poseidon Adventure and When Time Ran Out. Hamel also gained recognition as the model in the last televised cigarette commercial in the U.S. for Virginia Slims. Since 1975, she has appeared in various TV series and was considered for the role of Kelly Garrett on Charlie's Angels.
