Veronica Redd

Veronica Redd (born August 8, 1948) is an American actress known for her role as Mamie Johnson in the CBS daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless. She first gained recognition in Hollywood for her appearance on the CBS-TV sitcom The Jeffersons as Edith 'Edie' Stokes. Throughout her career, Redd has guest-starred on popular shows such as Good Times, Eight Is Enough, Lou Grant, Hill Street Blues, WKRP in Cincinnati, and Diff'rent Strokes. In addition to her television work, she has also appeared in films like Clean and Sober, The Five Heartbeats, and Blue Hill Avenue. Reed's notable miniseries appearances include The Blue and the Gray, The Atlanta Child Murders, and The Women of Brewster Place.
