    Vicci Martinez is an American singer/songwriter and actress from Tacoma, Washington. Born on September 21, 1984, she gained recognition as a contestant on NBC's singing competition series, The Voice, in 2011, where she finished in joint third place. Martinez released her 2012 album with Republic Records (Universal Music Group) and later self-released her 2015 album. She began her music career at the age of 16 and is known for her acoustic-rock sound and personal, autobiographical lyrics. In addition to her music, Martinez has also dabbled in acting. With a Mexican father and an ESL teacher mother, she graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma and has received critical acclaim for her live performances.
