Victor L. Williams (born September 19, 1970) is an American actor known for his role as Deacon Palmer, the best friend of Doug Heffernan (Kevin James), on the hit TV show The King of Queens. He has also appeared on various other popular TV shows, including Homicide: Life on the Street, Law & Order, ER, New York Undercover, Girlfriends, Fringe, and The Jamie Foxx Show. Williams has showcased his talent in commercials as well, notably as a pitchman for Verizon Fios television commercials in 2012. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Williams attended Midwood High School, where he played basketball, before pursuing his passion for acting at Binghamton University and New York University's Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts.
