Vikas Khanna

Vikas Khanna (born November 14, 1971) is an Indian chef, restaurateur, cookbook writer, filmmaker, and humanitarian. He is known for being one of the judges on MasterChef India and is based in New York City. Khanna was born in Amritsar, India, and attended St. Francis School there. Despite being born with a leg deformity, he overcame it and went on to graduate from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 1991, where he studied hotel management. He continued his studies at the Culinary Institute of America and New York University. Khanna has worked for various hotel groups in India and has received an honorary doctorate at GD Goenka University. He has also worked at several restaurants in New York City, including Junoon.
