Vineeta Rishi is an English actress, best known for her role as Jas Khella in the BBC One soap opera Doctors. Born in Bracknell, Berkshire to Indian parents, Rishi grew up in Walkergate, Newcastle upon Tyne. She attended Walkergate Primary and Junior School and Benfield School before earning a business degree from the University of Bradford in 1998. Initially working as a computer programmer, Rishi discovered her passion for acting during her spare time in Amateur Dramatics. She then pursued her acting career by taking a postgraduate course at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Rishi has appeared in various TV shows including ITV's The Last Detective and BBC's Smith and Jones.
