Vito Giusto Scozzari, better known as Vito Scotti, was an American character actor who appeared in over 200 screen roles throughout his career, spanning from the late 1930s to the mid-1990s. Born on January 26, 1918, in San Francisco, California, to Giusto and Virginia Ambroselli Scozzari, he was of Italian heritage. Famous for his ability to assume diverse roles, Scotti portrayed various ethnic characters, from a Mexican bandit to a Russian doctor, a Japanese sailor, and an Indian travel agent. With a career that spanned 50 years, he appeared in both dramatic and comedic roles on Broadway, in films, and on television. Scotti passed away on June 5, 1996.
