Vivian Hsu (born March 19, 1975) is a Taiwanese actress, model, and singer. She rose to fame in Japan in 1995 and became a highly recognized celebrity in the late 1990s. Hsu was the main vocalist for Black Biscuits, a Japanese dance band known for their successful single 'Timing.' Born to a Hakka father and Tayal Taiwanese mother, she attended Taichung Jianxing Elementary School and Taipei Shulinguo Junior High School. Hsu's career in the entertainment industry began after winning a 'Talented Beautiful Girl' contest held by Taiwan's CTS in 1990. Her diverse talents have made her a prominent figure in movies, TV shows, and music.
