Walker Edmiston Biography
Walker Edmiston (February 6, 1926 – February 15, 2007) was an American actor and puppeteer. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Edmiston participated in local theater productions during his high school years and later studied at the Pasadena Playhouse. In the 1950s, Edmiston worked on puppet shows on KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, including The Buffalo Billy Show, Time for Beany, and Dumbo's Circus. He also voiced characters on Pandemonium and was a member of the cast of Lidsville. Edmiston appeared in character roles on several TV programs, such as Star Trek, Gunsmoke, Mission: Impossible, Knots Landing, and The Dukes of Hazzard. He was known for his role as the voice of Balok in the Star Trek episode The Corbomite Maneuver.
