Warner Saunders (January 30, 1935 - October 9, 2018) was an American news anchor and television personality. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Saunders held a bachelor's degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and a master's degree from Northeastern Illinois University. He was best known as the co-anchor for the 10 PM news at WMAQ-TV in Chicago, alongside Allison Rosati. Saunders was a highly respected figure in the field of journalism and was honored with inductions into the Chicago Journalism Hall of Fame and the Chicago Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' Silver Circle. He also served as the President of the Chicago Association of Black Journalists. Saunders had a diverse career that included producing documentaries and hosting shows such as Common Ground and The Good Gang Express.
