Warren Clarke Biography
Warren Clarke (born Alan James Clarke; 26 April 1947 – 12 November 2014) was an English actor known for his roles in both film and television. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Dim in Stanley Kubrick's 'A Clockwork Orange'. Clarke appeared in numerous films and television shows, including the popular TV series 'Dalziel and Pascoe' where he played Detective Superintendent Andy Dalziel. Other notable TV appearances include 'The Manageress' and 'Sleepers'. Born in Oldham, Lancashire, Clarke started his career as a copy boy for the Manchester Evening News before transitioning into acting. He began his acting career in amateur dramatics and later changed his first name to Warren. Clarke's talent and versatility made him a respected figure in the industry until his passing in 2014.
