Warren Carlos Sapp is an American former football defensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons. Born on December 19, 1972, Sapp played college football at the University of Miami, where he won prestigious awards such as the Lombardi Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy, and Bill Willis Trophy. In the 1995 NFL Draft, Sapp was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round. He spent nine seasons with the Buccaneers, making seven Pro Bowl appearances and earning first-team All-Pro honors four times. Sapp was also a key member of the Buccaneers team that won Super Bowl XXXVII. He ended his career with the Oakland Raiders and later became an analyst on NFL Network until 2015. Sapp is known for his impressive career totals of 96.5 sacks, the third-highest for a defensive tackle in NFL history.
