Waylon Jennings Biography
Waylon Jennings (1937-2002) was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He is known as one of the pioneers of the outlaw movement in country music. Jennings began his musical journey at a young age, playing guitar and performing on radio stations. In 1958, Buddy Holly arranged his first recording session and hired him to play bass. Unfortunately, Jennings gave up his seat on the plane that crashed and killed Holly and other musicians. After taking a break from music, he formed a rockabilly club band called The Waylors. Jennings also ventured into acting, appearing in movies and TV shows. His contributions to country music and his rebellious style continue to influence artists today.
