John Wesley Chatham, known as Wes Chatham, is an American actor born on October 11, 1978. Chatham began his career in the U.S. Navy, serving as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate. During his time in the navy, he worked as an aviation firefighter on the USS Essex and reached the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. Chatham's acting debut came when he was chosen by Denzel Washington to appear in the film Antwone Fisher while still serving in the navy. This experience sparked his passion for acting, leading him to pursue further opportunities. He has since appeared in notable films like In the Valley of Elah, W., The Help, and The Philly Kid. Chatham is also known for his role as Amos Burton in the television series The Expanse from 2015 to 2022.
