Willi Ninja
Willi Ninja, born William Roscoe Leake on April 12, 1961, was an American dancer and choreographer. He gained recognition for his appearance in the documentary film Paris Is Burning. Ninja specialized in voguing, a dance style that drew inspiration from sources like Fred Astaire and the world of haute couture. He caught the attention of director Jennie Livingston, which propelled his career forward. Ninja went on to perform with various dance troupes and work as a choreographer. In 1989, he starred in the music video for Malcolm McLaren's song 'Deep in Vogue.' Ninja, a member of the LGBT community, tragically passed away in 2006 due to complications from AIDS.
