William Hootkins Biography
William Michael 'Hoot' Hootkins (July 5, 1948 – October 23, 2005) was an American actor known for his supporting roles in Hollywood blockbusters including Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Batman. Born in Dallas, Texas, Hootkins attended St. Mark's School of Texas and developed a passion for theatre while studying there. He joined the same drama group as Tommy Lee Jones and supported him in their performances. Hootkins later attended Princeton University, initially studying astrophysics before switching to oriental studies. Throughout his career, Hootkins appeared in various films and TV shows, showcasing his versatile acting skills. He passed away on October 23, 2005.
