William Katt Biography
William Theodore Katt (born February 16, 1951) is an American actor and musician. He gained recognition for his role as Ralph Hinkley/Hanley in the ABC television series The Greatest American Hero (1981–83). Katt's career took off after playing Tommy Ross in the original film adaptation of Carrie (1976). He went on to star in movies like First Love (1977), Big Wednesday (1978), and Butch and Sundance: The Early Days (1979). From 1985 to 1988, Katt appeared in nine Perry Mason television films alongside his mother Barbara Hale. Born in Los Angeles to actors Bill Williams and Barbara Hale, Katt grew up in the San Fernando Valley and began acting in his teenage years. He attended Orange Coast College before pursuing a career in acting.
