William M. Finkelstein Biography
William M. Finkelstein is an American screenwriter, television producer, actor, and television director. He has an extensive background in the entertainment industry, having worked on notable TV shows such as Law & Order, Brooklyn South, Murder One, L.A. Law, Cop Rock, NYPD Blue, and The Good Fight. Finkelstein co-created Brooklyn South alongside renowned collaborators David Milch, Steven Bochco, and Bill Clark. His remarkable talent has earned him recognition, including two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series in 1989 and 1990 for L.A. Law. He has also been nominated four times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. In addition to his TV work, Finkelstein received acclaim for writing the script for Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.
