William Mapother

William Mapother is an American actor, born on April 17, 1965, in Louisville, Kentucky. He is known for his role as Ethan Rom on the popular television series Lost and for starring in the film In the Bedroom. Mapother has also appeared in the film Another Earth. He comes from a family with a background in law, as his father was an attorney and served as a judge in Louisville. Mapother is a first cousin of actor Tom Cruise. As a character actor, Mapother often portrays dark or scary characters and has gained recognition for his roles in independent films such as The Lather Effect, Moola, Hurt, and The Burrowers.
