William Mesnik (born May 21, 1953, age 70) is an American character actor, musician, and playwright. He gained recognition for his appearances in numerous films and television series during the 1990s and 2000s. Mesnik began his career as a singer-songwriter in the mid-1970s, performing in Greenwich Village coffee houses such as Paul Colby's The Other End. He further developed his writing skills as a regular contributor to The West Bank Downstairs Theater Bar repertory in the 1980s. Mesnik has created several genre-bending musical theater pieces, including the critically acclaimed Three Songs in 1997.
