William Sanderson Biography
William Sanderson is a retired American actor known for his roles in movies and television shows. He was born on January 10, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee. Sanderson played the character J. F. Sebastian in the iconic film Blade Runner in 1982. He also had regular roles on popular TV series including Larry on Newhart from 1982 to 1990, E. B. Farnum on Deadwood from 2004 to 2006 and in 2019, and Sheriff Bud Dearborne on True Blood from 2008 to 2010 and in 2012. Sanderson volunteered for the U.S. Army at the age of 18 and later attended college on the G.I. Bill, earning business and law degrees from the University of Memphis. He did not take the bar exam.
