Winfried Glatzeder
Winfried Glatzeder (born April 26, 1945) is a German television actor and playwright. He gained recognition in the 1960s in East Germany and achieved fame in the early 1970s with his roles in films such as Zeit der Störche and The Legend of Paul and Paula. From 1996 to 1998, Glatzeder portrayed Commissioner Ernst Roiter in the TV series Tatort. Since then, he has primarily focused on his work in theater and television. Glatzeder is an only child and his mother, who was of Jewish descent, hid her grandmother during the Nazi period. His father died in 1944 and his mother faced health challenges, spending many years in sanatoriums.
