Winston Rekert Biography
Winston Houghton Rekert (June 10, 1949 – September 14, 2012) was a Canadian actor best known for his roles in the television series Adderly and Neon Rider. Rekert, a Vancouver native, began his acting career at the age of 12 and later joined the Arts Club Theatre Company. In 1973, he secured his first television role on the comedy-drama The Beachcombers. Rekert's notable film appearances include Detective Langevin in Agnes of God (1985) and his Genie Award-nominated performance in Walls (1985). From 1986 to 1988, he starred as the lead character in Adderly, a comedic spy genre spoof. Rekert's contributions to the industry earned him a Gemini Award for Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Continuing Dramatic Role in 1987.
