Wunmi Mosaku Biography
Wunmi Mosaku is a Nigerian-born English actress known for her versatile performances in film and television. Born in 1986, Mosaku emigrated to Manchester, England at the age of one. She attended Trinity Church of England High School and Xaverian Sixth Form College. Mosaku's acting career took off with notable roles such as Joy in the BBC Two miniseries Moses Jones (2009) and Holly Lawson in the ITV series Vera (2011–2012). Her exceptional talent was recognized when she won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Gloria Taylor in the TV film Damilola, Our Loved Boy (2016). Mosaku further showcased her skills in the fifth series of Luther (2019) and in HBO's Lovecraft Country (2020) as Ruby Baptiste. In 2021, she joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Hunter B-15 in the television series Loki. She received a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress and won the BIFA Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a British Independent Film for her outstanding portrayal of Rial in His House (2020).
