Yan England-Girard (born December 9, 1981) is a Canadian actor, television and radio presenter, screenwriter, film producer, and director of short films. He is best known for his role as Einstein in the youth program Watatatow, which he portrayed for 13 years. England's short film, Henry, was nominated for an Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards in the Best Live Action Short Film category. He made his debut as a feature film director with 1:54. Born in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, England is the son of Michel Girard, an economic journalist, and Diane England, a producer at Zone 3 media group. He has appeared in various television series, including Les Débrouillards, Watatatow, Headquarters: Warsaw, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. At the age of eighteen, he studied theatre in Beverly Hills to eliminate his French accent.
