Yassir Lester (born June 22, 1984) is an American stand-up comedian, writer, and actor. He gained recognition as a writer for the critically acclaimed TV shows The Carmichael Show and Girls. Born in Miami, Florida, Lester's family later moved to Marietta, Georgia. With an African-American mother and Palestinian father, he brings a unique perspective to his comedy. Lester's passion for stand-up comedy led him to Los Angeles, where he met Jerrod Carmichael and began his writing career. In 2019, he showcased his acting skills in the Showtime series Black Monday, portraying a stockbroker named Yassir. Lester's notable role includes playing Chris in the TV show Making History.
