Yoshi Amao (ヨシ 天尾) is a Japanese actor, comedian, MC, and martial artist based in New York City. He gained recognition as the emcee for the hit reality TV game show Big In Japan. From 2013 to 2014, he hosted the YTV/Disney XD television game show, Japanizi: Going, Going, Gong!. Born in Osaka, Japan, Amao grew up in Nara and studied acting and traditional Japanese dance at Osaka City University. He started his career as an emcee while in college and also worked as a radio personality at MBS Radio. Amao is widely known as the host of the popular TV series Samurai Sportsman, where he explores American traditional outdoor sports.
