Youssef Kerkour Biography
Youssef Kerkour is a Moroccan-British actor known for his role as Syrian refugee Sami in the comedy-drama series Home, which earned him a nomination at the 2020 British Academy Television Awards. Born and raised in Rabat, Morocco, Kerkour's parents, a Moroccan mathematics professor and an English schoolteacher, instilled a love for arts in him. After being inspired by a production of Henry V in Stratford-upon-Avon during his teenage years, he decided to pursue acting. Kerkour moved to the United States to study psychology at Bard College, but his passion for acting led him to take dance and acting classes instead. Since then, he has been actively pursuing his acting career.
