Zach Kanin is an American writer, producer, comedian, and cartoonist. He is known for his work as a former SNL staff writer and the co-creator, producer, and writer of Detroiters and I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson. Kanin was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Newton, Massachusetts. He attended The Roxbury Latin School and Harvard University, where he received his degree in English. Kanin began his career as an assistant to The New Yorker's cartoons editor before becoming a cartoonist himself. He has published approximately 300 cartoons in The New Yorker. Kanin's work is often described as slightly surreal and humorous.
