Zazie Olivia Beetz is a German and American actress known for her roles in both television and film. She gained recognition for her performance in the FX comedy-drama series Atlanta, which earned her a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Beetz also appeared in the Netflix anthology series Easy and voiced a character in the adult animated superhero series Invincible. In film, she starred in the disaster film Geostorm and portrayed the Marvel Comics character Domino in the superhero film Deadpool 2. Additionally, she played Arthur Fleck/Joker's neighbor Sophie in the psychological thriller Joker. Born in Berlin in 1991, Beetz's parents are a German cabinet maker and an African-American social worker from New York.
