Zerocalcare
Michele Rech, better known as Zerocalcare, is an Italian cartoonist born on December 12, 1983. He adopted the pen name Zerocalcare after a TV commercial jingle for a descaler product. Rech's books have sold over one million copies, making him a highly successful author. His popular 2011 graphic novel, 'The Armadillo Prophecy,' was adapted into a live-action movie in 2018. Zerocalcare has also ventured into television, with his works being adapted into the Netflix animated series 'Tear Along the Dotted Line' (2021) and 'This World Can't Tear Me Down' (2023), in which he also starred. Born in Cortona, Italy, Rech grew up in France and Rome, where he completed his education at Lycée français Chateaubriand.
