Apocalypto

Apocalypto is a 2006 American epic historical action-adventure film directed by Mel Gibson. The story follows a young Mesoamerican hunter named Jaguar Paw and his fellow tribesmen who are captured by an invading force and brought to a Mayan city for human sacrifice. The film is set in Yucatán around the year 1502 and portrays the hero's journey amidst the decline of the Mayan civilization.
