The Milk of Sorrow

The Milk of Sorrow is a 2009 Peruvian-Spanish drama film by director Claudia Llosa. The story follows Fausta, who is afflicted with the Milk of Sorrow, a rare disease transmitted through the breast milk of abused or raped pregnant women. After the sudden death of her mother, Fausta grapples with fear and confusion, determined to avoid her mother's fate.
