Randolph Bradley, a reserved fast-food worker in rural Louisiana, survives when coworker Benson suddenly shoots their colleagues; Bradley then travels with Benson, confronting painful memories and making fraught moral and survival decisions while managing Benson's volatile behavior and the immediate aftermath of the killings and seeking a way forward alone.
