The Spirit is a 2008 American neo-noir superhero film based on the newspaper comic strip The Spirit by Will Eisner. Directed by Frank Miller, it follows the story of Denny Colt, also known as 'the Spirit', as he returns from the beyond to fight against crime in Central City, particularly against the villainous Octopus.
