Black and Jewish America: An Interwoven History is a 2026 American four-part documentary series hosted, written and executive produced by Henry Louis Gates Jr. It examines the history and present-day relationship between African Americans and American Jews, addressing periods of alliance, tension, and cultural exchange. The series premiered February 3, 2026 on PBS and includes interviews with participants such as Billy Crystal, Tony Kushner, Al Sharpton and Jamaica Kincaid. Production was prompted by a rise in white supremacist hate crimes.
