Kamen Rider

Kamen Rider is a Japanese tokusatsu superhero franchise created by manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori. Originating with the 1971 television series about college student Takeshi Hongo, who is transformed into a cyborg and fights the world-conquering organization Shocker, the franchise centers on motorcycle-riding heroes with insect motifs confronting supervillains. It includes television programs, films, manga and anime and influenced Japanese superhero media.
