What is The Artful Dodger about?

Set against the backdrop of 1850s Australia, The Artful Dodger reimagines the life of Jack Dawkins, a character originally from Charles Dickens' classic novel, 'Oliver Twist.' Known to most as the Artful Dodger, Jack has left behind his former life as an agile pickpocket on London's streets and has reinvented himself as a young and respected surgeon in the colony of Port Victory. The narrative takes a twist when Fagin, a figure from Jack's pickpocketing past, emerges, threatening to pull him back into a life of crime. This ensuing conflict tests Jack's resolve to maintain his newfound status and integrity.
