The Artist is an American historical fiction murder mystery television series set in the Gilded Age. An ensemble of period celebrities—Thomas Edison, Edgar Degas and Evelyn Nesbit—gather at the mansion of an eccentric tycoon who is later found dead, triggering an investigation that entwines art, innovation and social intrigue. The series features an ensemble cast including Mandy Patinkin, Janet McTeer, Danny Huston, Patti LuPone and Zachary Quinto.
