Today (also known as The Today Show) is an American morning television program broadcast on NBC. It premiered on January 14, 1952, and is credited as the first television program of its genre worldwide. Airing weekdays with additional weekend editions, the series expanded its weekday schedule over time and is among the longest-running programs in American television history.
