Abigail Thaw

Abigail J. Thaw (born 1 October 1965) is an English actress known for her role as investigative journalist Dorothea Frazil in the detective drama series Endeavour. With a career spanning both television and stage, Thaw has appeared in various TV series including Casualty, Midsomer Murders, Agatha Christie's Poirot, and Black Mirror. Born in London to actor John Thaw and academic/feminist activist Sally Alexander, she grew up in Pimlico under the care of her mother and her mother's partner Gareth Stedman Jones. Thaw attended Pimlico Comprehensive and has half-siblings on both her mother's and father's sides. Her stepmother is actress Sheila Hancock.
