House of the Dragon

House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series that serves as a prequel to Game of Thrones. It is set in the A Song of Ice and Fire franchise, based on George R. R. Martin's book Fire & Blood. The show, created by Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO, depicts events leading to the decline of House Targaryen, focusing on the 'Dance of the Dragons' war of succession. The series features an ensemble cast and is set nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
