Aidan Turner Biography
Aidan Turner (born June 19, 1983) is an Irish actor known for his roles in various TV shows and movies. He kickstarted his career with appearances in the RTÉ medical drama The Clinic (2008-2009) and the BBC series Desperate Romantics (2009). Turner gained significant recognition for his role in the popular TV series Being Human (2009-2011). He further solidified his fame by portraying the lead character in the BBC adaptation of Winston Graham's Poldark (2015-2019) and as Kíli in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit trilogy (2012-2014). Born and raised in Clondalkin, Dublin, Turner attended St Mac Dara's Community College and Firhouse Community College. Prior to acting, he had other interests and hobbies.
