Alan Rachins

Alan Leonard Rachins (born October 3, 1942) is an American television actor known for his roles in L.A. Law and Dharma & Greg. Rachins began his career in New York, performing in plays such as After the Rain and H'adrian the Seventh. In 1972, he put his acting career on hold to study writing and directing at the American Film Institute. Rachins has sold scripts to various shows including The Fall Guy and Hill Street Blues. He is best known for his portrayal of Douglas Brackman in L.A. Law, for which he received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations. He also played Larry on Dharma & Greg.
