Nivola has received several nominations and awards for his work, including a Tony Award nomination, an Independent Spirit Award nomination, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. In addition to his acting career, Nivola runs King Bee Productions, which produced the HBO comedy Doll & Em and the Independent Spirit Award-nominated film To Dust.
